Why Designers Do The Things They Do

All designers, whether they're aware of it or not, have to be a bridge of sorts between a client and a development team. The process of creating a good product needs a design & development team that works well together.

As a designer at a client servicing studio, this is crucial for my work. I rely on a design process to ask the right questions and solve the important problems.

By going through my process and explaining the reasons behind why I choose the tools that I use, I hope to help fellow developers be able to incorporate some of these tools into their development process. I'll go into the details of some of the essential tools like user research, product testing and prototyping. Also, I'll try to debunk why sometimes that “simple colour change”, can be more complex than it appears to be on the surface.
