  7. Why Did I Start EngineerAnime? • Meet people beyond my

    own role • Start conversations through anime • Create a fun and welcoming community
  8. How Did the First Meetup Happen? • I found an

    inspiring presentation about lessons learned from anime. • I invited the speaker to give the keynote. • I asked anime fans I had met in other engineering communities to help organize the event. • Together, we launched the first EngineerAnime meetup.
  9. Beyond Meetups Our community has grown beyond monthly meetups. •

    Published anthology books and distributed them at Comic Market and other conventions. • Organized special meetup events at venues featured in anime. We continue creating new ways for engineers to connect through anime.
  10. Why We Started Publishing Books Not everyone can travel to

    our meetups. We wanted a way for anyone to participate.
  11. Anthology Books • People can contribute from anywhere in Japan.

    • 3 anthology books published • 50+ authors across the series • Distributed at Comic Market (Comiket), Gijutsu ShoTen (Tech Book Fest), and Gijutsu Sho Doujinshi Hakurankai (Technical Doujinshi Expo)
  12. Meetup at an Anime Location • We held a special

    meetup inMusashisakai, the setting of the anime SHIROBAKO. • More than 100 people joined the event to share what they had learned from the series. • We also served donuts inspired by a memorable scene from the anime.
  13. We ended the meetup by recreating the famous "Don Don

  14. Beyond Tokyo We have also brought EngineerAnime to Kyoto and

    Osaka. Our next event will be be held in Numazu, Shizuoka—the setting of Love Live! Sunshine!!—in October 2026.
  15. More Ways to Participate Our community grew as we created

    more ways for people to get involved. • Meetups • Talks • Anthology books • Event organizing
  16. Crossing Disciplines Anime gave engineers from different backgrounds a reason
