Technologies • Magento is an open-source e-commerce platform written in PHP. • SKILLS for backend developers: • understanding of PHP programming structures, • MVC Design patterns, • server side: file/folder permissions, basics of web server configuration, database, etc... • SKILLS for frontend developers: • HTML/ CSS skills. This is the basic knowledge for making at least "product page", "about us" etc. • knowing of javascript will help you a lot. • XML/PHP structures will help you theming Magento from scratch
