Ways to Welcome Newcomers to Your Open Source Project

This talk will cover some methods project maintainers and contributors can use to welcome newcomers to open source projects. Aspects like interpersonal interactions, documentation, and the code itself impact newcomers’ ability and desire to become members of open source projects and communities. Throughout the talk I will share some of my experience in the communities around p5.js and Write/Speak/Code LA.
