I'm Only Human After All | Part 1

The essence of Humanity is under great scrutiny with many wanting to redefine it. Jesus was so wonderfully human and so uniquely divine. Every human being is God breathed, formed and created in His image. In Jesus, true humanity begins anew and reaches its zenith.

Through this series we present our biblical view of humanity created by God. To help us respect life, grow to be like Jesus and treat others with the dignity that pertains to their created image.

  1. “To whom will you compare me?
 Who is my equal?”

asks the Holy One. Look up into the heavens.
 Who created all the stars?
He brings them out like an army, one after another,
 calling each by its name.
Because of his great power and incomparable strength,
not a single one is missing. ISAIAH 40:25–28 (NLT)
  2. O Jacob, how can you say the Lord does not

    see your troubles?
O Israel, how can you say God ignores your rights?
 Have you never heard?
 Have you never understood?
The Lord is the everlasting God,
the Creator of all the earth.
He never grows weak or weary.
No one can measure the depths of his understanding.” ISAIAH 40:25–28 (NLT)
  3. By faith we understand that the universe was created by

the word of God, so that what is seen was not made out of things that are visible. HEBREWS 11:3 (ESV)
  4. He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn

of all creation. For by him all things were created, in heaven and on earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or authorities—all things were created through him and for him. COLOSSIANS 1:15–16 (ESV)
  5. And God made the two great lights—the greater light to

rule the day and the lesser light to rule the night—and the stars. GENESIS 1:16 (ESV)
