Mythbusters | Part 3

In this series we are looking at things people think about church that aren’t actually true. There are times we must teach to prove something that is largely believed to be true, to instead be false. We all have heard ideas and concepts about church, the Bible, aspects of faith, being a Christian and Jesus, that although could be a longstanding belief, need to be challenged.

In any of these cases there is only one thing to do, bust that myth! This is a great series to come with your questions and invite others along to see what they think!

You can watch any of our messages online at renewalcc.com/media or listen to our podcasts on iTunes and Spotify by searching 'Renewal Church'.

  1. Have you not known? Have you not heard? The everlasting

God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth, does not faint or grow weary; there is no searching of his understanding. He gives power to the faint and weary, and to him who has no might. He increases strength [causing it to multiply and making it to abound]. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and [selected] young men shall feebly stumble and fall exhausted; But those who wait for [who expect, look for and hope in him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. Isaiah 40:28–31 (AMPC)
  2. “Come to me, all who are weary and heavy-laden and

I will give you rest” Matthew 11:28 (NASB)
  3. The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who

delights in him; though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand. Psalm 37:23–24 (NIV)
  4. God is our refuge and strength, An ever-present help in

trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, Though it’s waters roar and foam And the mountains quake with their surging. Psalm 46:1–3 (NLT)
  5. Being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might,

for all endurance and patience with joy; Colossions 1:11 (ESV)
