3. Born out of a problem.
4. A problem that I am a part of.

6. But first… A bit about how I got here.
7. I left school not knowing what I wanted to do.
8. Computers!
9. I left college not knowing what I wanted to do.
10. Computers?
11. I left university not knowing what I wanted to do.
12. Definitely not computers!
13. Too late.
14. Programmer?
15. Nope.
16. Project Manager?
17. ...
18. ...
19. Maybe?
20. A designer?
21. No chance!
22. Or was there?
27. Maybe I am a designer?
29. I really am a designer.
30. Everyone’s a designer?
31. So what’s the problem?
32. I’m lucky.
33. I’m privileged.
34. I have very few problems to solve.
35. I’m not diverse.
36. In fact...
37. I’m about 20 years and a few bad choices away from being...

39. And I’m not alone in the design community.
40. So what’s the idea?
41. The type of design I’m talking about is creative problem solving.
42. Some people call it Service Design.
43. Or ‘Design Thinking’
45. And they think it’s new.
46. But the truth is...
47. It’s not new.
48. And you don’t need a degree in fine art to be a designer.

50. You don’t even need to be a designer.
