The day begins with a scenic two-hour drive from Manali to Jobra, where the trekking adventure officially starts. As you begin your trek from Jobra, you'll find yourself immersed in lush forests adorned with pine, maple, and birch trees, providing a serene and refreshing atmosphere. 7. DAY 2 - Chika To Balu ka Ghera (Trek: 8 km, Duration: 5 hrs, Altitude: 12,100 ft) On Day 2, the trek takes you from Chika to Balu ka Ghera, climbing to an altitude of 3,600 meters (11,800 feet). This leg of the journey covers a distance of 8 kilometers (5 miles) and typically takes around 5-6 hours to complete. The trail leads you through scenic meadows and along the river, creating a picturesque and serene trekking experience. DAY 3 - Balu ka Ghera to Hampta Pass and further to Shia Ghoru (Trek: 12 km, Duration: 8 hrs, Altitude: 14,100 ft) After breakfast, trek start from Balu ka Ghera to Shea Goru via Hampta Pass is the most challenging and exhilarating part of the journey. Start early to reach Hampta Pass before the weather changes, as conditions can become unpredictable in the afternoon. The ascent to Hampta Pass is steep and demanding, but the panoramic views from the top are incredibly rewarding. Carefully descend on the other side, where the landscape transforms into a stark, rocky terrain, offering a striking contrast to the lush greenery of the previous days. By late afternoon, you'll reach Shea Goru, a cold and windy valley where you'll camp overnight. This day requires good physical fitness and stamina, to ensure proper acclimatization and take breaks as needed. 9. In the morning, you will trek from Shea Goru to Chatru, a small settlement at an altitude of 3,000 meters (9,840 feet). The 5- kilometer (4.3-mile) trek takes around 4-5 hours, offering a descent through contrasting landscapes of the Lahaul and Spiti valleys. Once in Chatru, you will embark on a scenic drive to Chandratal Lake, which lies at an altitude of 4,300 meters (14,100 feet). This drive, lasting about 3-4 hours, can be bumpy and rough but promises rewarding views of the surrounding terrain. Upon arrival, you'll explore the mesmerizing Chandratal Lake, renowned for its crystal-clear waters and breathtaking mountainous backdrop. In the exceptional cases of slots not being available, viable alternatives will be provided to the customer, in regards to the customer’s preference. Alternatively, the trekker may choose to cancel their booking before confirmation and a full refund will be processed.
