  1. About the activity Combine your experience and imagination with what

you learned from the interview activity to design a unique user outreach campaign.
  2. This is about crazy ideas. Come at the problem from

an unusual angle to help you get past the obvious solutions. Think about silly ideas, events, and a limitless budget.
  3. Design an outreach campaign Work with your team to brainstorm

ideas. Pick your favorite then create a storyboard to share with five of your colleagues to get their input on the idea.
  4. Your Concept Storyboard Use a series of storyboard boxes to

sketch how the target user will interact with your outreach campaign List all the materials and steps needed to pull off this idea. Explain how these materials might be acquired. Share this storyboard with five colleagues and ask them to build on this initial idea. Remember, you want to encourage crazy ideas.
  5. Miniaturize Your Idea Take your big, crazy idea from the

first storyboard and then “miniaturize” it into a new storyboard scenario that can be completed quickly and cheaply. Use this exercise to start thinking resourcefully about the materials and potential partners who can help with your idea. Your new miniature idea will serve as a prototype to inspire semifinalists to try new ways to increase the number of people they serve.
  6. Make a three minute video. Explain your idea in a

short video. You may use a slide deck, or create a mockup, or other creative visuals to serve as a pitch to your semifinalist.
  7. Crazy idea to miniature idea Inspire the viewer with your

big, crazy idea then share how you miniaturized it into something that could tested quickly and cheaply.
  8. Share with your semifinalist Email your video (or a link)

to your semifinalist and ask them to share their feedback. They may not want to use your exact idea (that’s ok!). This will get them thinking about new possibilities.
  9. Share with us too! We want to see what fun

ideas your came up with. Email your video (or a link) to the inclusion plus team at [email protected]
  10. Easy peasy This exercise is about starting with silly ideas

to bring a new perspective to a key challenge facing these social ventures. Have fun with it and maybe you will take your idea all the way to execution!
