  1. Background • New York’s LabInteractive and LabCompute practices have had

their own breakfasts for a long time. • Down here, the lines between practices are blurrier and we’re smaller, so we’re doing a unified one. • Anyone can speak, but the topics should be raised to the organizers (me for now) beforehand. They should also relate to software development more than tangentially.
  2. Variables • Content--that means you! • Anything from specific techniques

in a particular programming language to design principles to testing philosophy. • You should be passionate about the subject in question, but you don’t need to be an expert. • There’s no consistent presentation format, but we ask that you be ready to speak for about 15 minutes. That also means that you should rehearse and know where you’re going.
  3. Desired Outcomes • Sharing technologies we’re passionate about • Expanding

our minds as developers • Improving our presentation skills • ...getting fed
  4. Today • We have the room from 8:30 until 10:30,

but lots of us have stuff at 9:30 or 10, so this’ll be frontloaded.
  5. How’d this go? • Suggestions regarding format, topics, constraints, food

    • Who’d like to speak next month? (Email me. I’ll pester you.) • Thanks for coming!
