  1. Assignments Moodle documentation for students Your lecturer can set up

    an assignment activity in your unit enabling you to submit your work online. They may also provide you with your assignment grade and feedback. This document shows you how to upload an assignments within your unit and allow you to view your grades.
  2. How to submit an assignment Uploading a file 1.  Click

    on the associated assignment link in your unit. 2.  You will be taken to the assignment summary screen where you can view instructions your lecturer may have provided as well as the due date for the assignment. Click Select files to enable the ‘File picker’ window.
  3. 3.  Click the ‘Add’ button then select ‘Upload a file’

    the ‘Choose File’ to browse your computer. Find and select your assignment file. 4.  NB – Give your file a meaningful name which includes your student number, name and assignment name eg S000123456_ThirzaStarkey_Advice document
  4. 5.  Depending on the options selected by your lecturer, you

    may see the following items: ①  If the lecturer has allowed you to delete your submissions you can use the cross to delete this submission and upload another file. ②  If the lecturer has allowed notes, you will be able to click on the Edit button to type a short message for your instructor. ③  If the lecturer has enabled the option to Send for marking you should click this to submit your final version of the assignment. If you do not click this your assignment will remain in draft status in the lecturer’s view.
  5. How to check if your assignment has been submitted ¡ 

    When you click on the Assignment link, you should see the file that you have uploaded. ¡  If your lecturer has decided to release your grades for you (normally after the due date has passed), you will be able to see them and any feedback the lecturer has left for you by clicking on the assignment link or by clicking on the Grades link in the Settings block, depending on if and how the lecturer has decided to provide you with the grade. Please check with your lecturer as to whether your grade should be available to you within Moodle. How to view your assignment grades
