Create a Video Sitemap and submit it to Google The best way to appear in Google's blended search results is to submit your video to Google using a Video Sitemap. This is similar to an XML sitemap, but is formatted specifically for video, and only contains information about your video content. It is submitted using Google's Webmaster Tools. We will create the code and email it to you so you can create yourgoogle webmaster account and submit the sitemap we send. (We can do it for you if you prefer) #2. Create a robots.txt to be placed on each video page. This ensures that Google can easily verify that the locations on the Web you've submitted do in fact exist, and that they contain embed codes which indicate the presence of a video. Again, depending on who and where the hosting of videos will be, we'll create the robots.txt file and either install it if we have access to the specific video page or send the file to you. #3. Titles and Tags When ranking videos, Google primarily considers the match between search keywords and the video title. Although Google allows you to submit other meta-data such as description and keywords, these currently don't have as much influence on your search ranking. Google likes it when the title tag of the page matches the title of the video, and will give a higher weighting for results where this is the case. We will create multiple title tags for each video. If we are submitting 2 -10 videos we will use 2 variations making sure the target term is used. For example, if the target term is home loans, we would make one title Home Loans, another title would be Fast Approval Home Loans. For 10 to 50 videos we'll create up to 5 variations. Home loans. Embed Code Allow other sites access to the coding that will allow them to embed the video on their website or blog. Here I’ll list some of the most common places. Email. Not spam sent to millions, but personalized email lists of people who have expressed an interest in what you sell. Specialty Forums. Again we’re not suggesting spamming a forum or using fake profile to ask a question so you can answer it in a way that leads to your offer. Forums have been around a LONG time and the admins of those forums are very good at recognizing value vs spam. The secret to success with leading people to your service in a forum is to post only when you know you are able to add value to that community. By establishing yourself as a contributing member supportive of that community, you establish yourself as an expert on your topic, you establish yourself as being helpful, honest and a “good person”. That breeds familiarity and that equals trust. Posting in Dedicated Groups Where there is a policy and place to submit offers. A good example of a place like this would be the Warriors forum www.warriorforum.com. There are thousands of sites dedicated to seo, marketing, social media, video creation, making money online etc where there are places set up to advertise to the group, but the warriors forum is an excellent example. It’s been around for a long, long time and has thousands of members. Social Media. Posting in social media is a lot like posting in a forum only with the ability to reach a lot more people. Forums are a closed group where social media is more of an open platform. Still, the people managing social sites KNOW what is value and what is spam. All that I know of will revoke your membership for not abiding by their rules and policies on spam. Search Engines. Being on the first page for specific keywords can undoubtedly generate a LOT of qualified traffic. We encourage all our partners to pay attention to search engine communities and learn at least the basics of SEO. The reality is those first page listings are VERY competitive and anyone there now you can be sure has spent a lot of time and or money to be there. Of course you want to be there but you don’t have to rely ONLY on a first page search result. There are a lot of places to get traffic from. These are just a few of the places available to advertise in, but the potential to reach prospects is virtually limitless and with Picwhizz we don’t tell you where or how to advertise. We believe since it is YOUR business, you have the right to run it and advertise as YOU want. Its all about making money and if you know a way to do that then we aren’t going to argue with you. 9. [PicWhizz E-Book] Google’s war on affiliates No Spamming Home How to set prices for Video SEO packages Have you ever heard the term, “what the market will bear? How about the law of supply and demand? Well, both of the terms reflect value as the determining factor. The more value, the more the general public is willing to pay for something. Once the perception of value is established in a marketplace, then how many services have the resources to deliver that value effects pricing. Competition has a way, a natural way of driving down prices and costs. So those things certainly have a dramatic impact on pricing, but the primary purpose of pricing, regardless of what you’re selling, should be based on your own personal objective. How much money do you want to make in what time frame? What are your costs and how much profit will be required to make the money you need to make to hit your objective? We can’t control supply and demand, we can influence them but we can’t really control them. BUT we can control our own goals. However, there is only person that can control that and that is you. You know your customers much better than us and while we can advise and suggest, we can’t define your goals. That’s why we built the Picwhizz back end the way we did. We allow each affiliate or reseller to edit the prices and packages to whatever they feel their market will bear and what price point needs to exist for them meet their own financial goals. We have set the prices in the example site with the intention that Picwhizz gets only half of the listed prices. For example, our basic service is shown at $2 per submissions. We set that price because $1 per submission is the minimum we can accept and still make a profit. So if you didn’t adjust the price, the $2 per submission is the total and if someone ordered 10 submissions, you would collect $20 and Picwhizz would charge you $10. Leaving you a profit of $10. The question may come to your mind why would allow me to make $10 with no expenses other than my time, while out of your $10 you have to pay the cost of production and development? The answer is volume. It’s true we would make only a small percentage of the $10 we get after paying salaries and all the expenses involved in providing the service. BUT, we get that small percentage from a lot of affiliates and resellers. So if you sold only 10 orders a month at $20 each, you would make $100 and after the cost of your time in putting up a site and marketing it, 9
10. [PicWhizz E-Book] you would have a profit of about 80% while Picwhizz’s profit would be about 10%. BUT if we had 100 affiliates all making 10 sales a month that would be 10% of $20,000. Now, here’s where the real profits for both of us lie, is in the suggested pricing and the packages. We determined the value of our Basic, Premium and Platinum submission calculated by the traffic, reach, quality and page rank of each submission site. Obviously the potential views from YouTube would be much MUCH higher making it more valuable to your customer. But from a production perspective, it costs about the same to optimize a video and submit it to a basic site as it would to submit to a platinum site. The basic formula for the pricing of packages is simply to add the price of each site, and then deduct 25% of that cost across the board. So if you had to choose only one site to submit your video to, you’d probably want YouTube. If we charged $1 for all sites, naturally, everyone would choose YouTube BUT that is not what will give the most benefit to the customer. Video SEO is all about wide distribution because you never know who will see what from where. So the best value for the customer and the best for you and Picwhizz is to charge based on the value of each specific site. You WANT to sell upgraded sites and packages. THAT”S where the profit is! And you know better than anyone what you’re comfortable selling to whom. That is why we give all our affiliates to edit the prices and the packages they offer. And we made it as easy as clicking a button to edit. You do it all through your own admin panel. Click, type in the price and where it is displayed, and it’s done! How to get repeat orders If one sale is good, then 1000 sales would be better, right? Do you know the easiest customer to sell to? The answer is the customer who has bought from you before. The easiest way to get repeat orders is to develop a relationship with your customer. The key to a successful relationship is both parties must continue to bring value to the relationship. That basically boils down, NOT SPAMMING THE CUSTOMER, but instead engaging with them. That engagement should be professional and in the form of customer services. We need personal data on the customer in order to make the purchased submissions as most video directories and sharing sites require personal data before they approve the submissions. Since you have the data on your customer, it’s easy for you to establish a professional relationship with them. You have everything they entered in the order in your admin panel. What reports do you need to give to your customers The primary purpose of providing production reports to customers is so the customer can verify that they actually got what they paid for and didn’t get cheated. Clear, easy to understand reports sent on time establish trust and confidence in your service and both of those things are crucial to securing repeat orders and building a brand. Now when that video has hosted on your site as well and has more information it’s relatively easy to get more traffic to your site that you know is already interested in you or your offer. When promoting your business through video SEO, one thing to keep in mind that sales are made from a time proven basic concept. Feature –Benefit - Call to Action. That’s the formula. In addition to your “About Us” page, why not use video to introduce yourself? Maybe you did a press release or announced it in a newspaper and that’s good, but with a video you can show what it is, how it works, and why I would want one. When shown graphically it has a much stronger impact than just reading about it. Remember, feature, benefit and call to action Meet the Employees. If you want your customers to feel like they have a friend in your company, using video to show employees faces and maybe saying something about how they see their job is a very good way that doesn’t take long and doesn’t cost much. The returns can be great. Specials or Promotions. Instead of just putting a banner on your home page why not record a 1-2 minute video that tells viewers what the special is all about. You can show product, you can show customers interacting with the product and you can show just how you take care of them. Again, it’s a much more effective way of getting people involved than just writing about it. Coupons and Deals. Maybe you’re overstocked on certain items or maybe you just bought right and have product with a better than usual profit margin and you move it. You probably offer a discount or issue coupons for a discount when that happens. Why not record a video where you can describe the “deal” and tell the viewer by coming in and saying a password you give only in the video they get a discount? Maps. A LOT of sites use a little image of Google Maps. What if in addition you had a video with a title like “How to get here” or “Shortcuts to our Store”? Now you can actually HELP people find you instead of trusting them to figure out the map. You can tell them if they’re coming from Streamwood to take the 1 - 90 to the exit and turn left at Ashland and it’s the third building on the left. Parking is in back so just pull through the gate. If a customer says something good about you, a video will impress a lot more people than text just saying Mike of Des Plaines said: When people can see the expression and hear the tone and inflection of another person speaking it has a lot of impact over just reading words. All you need to do is whip out your mobile and ask the customer is it’s ok to record their praise and post it on your site. Most people will happily agree There are almost as many ideas for videos are there are customers but the above should be basics that every business with a website should have on their sites. Mobile devices are everywhere. Everyone has one with them all the time. And almost all of them have a built in video recorder. Anyone can take a video of anything anytime with a push of a button. You need a storyboard, special lighting or editors. Just point and click and you have a video ready to load up to the internet. Once recorded it can be sent to any email address or loaded directly to a server. In the previous section, we discussed several ideas that a video could do to promote any business. All those ideas could be produced using a mobile device. It’s much more important WHAT you than how you say it. As far as people being able to see your video on their phone, it doesn’t matter if you make your video with a low cost camcorder or a high priced production company, your video can still be displayed properly on almost every mobile device in the world. It doesn’t matter what the video was shot with, what’s important is the browser that calls up the video. Apple uses a different kind of platform than Android. Windows is different than Nokia etc. BUT using custom software, our servers recognize which platform is calling the video through the browser and the program then automatically adjusts the source so that it displays properly on an Ipad or on a Galaxy.
