  1. What did we do last year? •  Conduct  one  training

     on  Child  Protec1on  for  DPO   (Disable  People  Organiza1on)  members  and  parents  of   children  with  disabili1es  to  raise  awareness  of  people   on  Child  Protec1on.   •  Integrate  child  protec1on  ac1vi1es  in  current  project  –   CBPA  
  2. What did we do last year? •  Par1cipated  in  the

     mee1ng  chaired  by  Ministry   of  Labor  Invalid  and  Social  Affair  to  develop  the   Law  on  Child  Protec1on  and  Educa1on.     •  CRS  HQ  launches  a  Child  Protec1on  Policy  to  all   country  programs.  All  the  staff  joined  the   training  before  November  2014.

     infected  and  affected  by  HIV/AIDS   Children  with  disabili1es   People  with  disabili1es   Teachers,  parents,  care  givers  of  children  with  vulnerable  circumstances   Ø  What  to  target:   -­‐  CRS  promotes  Children  rights  to  access  all  services  needed  for  all  vulnerable   groups  of  children:  Educa1on,  Health,  Voca1on,  Nutri1on,  Legal  and  others   -­‐  CRS  aim  to  maximize  the  par1cipatory  of  P/CWDs  in  to  social  ac1vi1es  and   -­‐  Capacity  building  for  all  the  staff  working  rela1ng  to  Child  Protec1on.    
  4. Lessons learned and successes •  Strengthen  the  system  of  children

     protec1on  through  the  community-­‐ based  workers  (CBWs)  is  the  key  issue.   •   Mobilize  the  CBWs  who  are  PWDs  or  PLWH  to  raise  the  voice  from   the  vulnerable  groups.   •  Coordina1on  among  different  stakeholders  providing  holis1c  needs  to   children  needs  to  be  promoted.   5  
  5. •  Provides  linkages  between  PAs/DPAs  and  the  newly  established  

    DPO  sector.  Thus,  the  voice  of  persons  with  disabili1es  is  heard   at  different  levels,  through  advocacy  programs  and  through   different  sectors  such  as  educa1on,  social  protec1on  and  health   support.     6

  8. Difficult situation that we have to face •  Project  partners

     are  aware  of  CP  issues  but  not  much   improvement  at  behavior  and  a\tudes  or  lack  of   follow  up  a]er  CP  training.     •  Cross  cu\ng  issue,  not  a  separate  project     •  It  was  a  plan  to    integrate  CP  in  project  implemen1ng   ac1vi1es  but  lack  of  monitoring  plan.      
  9. Changes that CRS gone through last year •  CRS  launched

     the  policy  on  child  protec1on  in   all  country  program   •  All  staff  in  CPs  finished  the  online-­‐training  on   child  protec1on   •  We  all  know  what  to  do  whenever  we  found  a   children  in  vulnerable  situa1on  to  abuse  or   explora1on:  where  to  report  (HR  Department  at   the  region  or  with  Dept.  of  Children  –  DOLISA   system  locally)
