Morning Story Warmup: 7_7: Following: Inverted

Morning Story Warmup: 7_7: Following: Inverted

Every morning I try to do a mini-storytest where I storyboard a scene based off of the prompts in Christopher Kenworthy's book "Master Shots Vol. 2". I set an interval timer for 45 seconds x 30 sets, so that I should be drawing AT LEAST one drawing every 45 seconds over the course of 22 minutes and 30 seconds. That being said, I extended it to 30 minutes because I liked the narrative so much and wanted to add blur effects on the people in the background.

Today's section was on "Following" tracking shots where one character is following another but is staggering behind to show that the character in front is in power. However, I've done at least 5-6 such shots in the last week, so I decided to mix it up and do THE OPPOSITE.

Instead, I wanted to see how to make the character in front appear weak and losing power, so I thought of the idea of having the character in the foreground be sick or having symptoms of a stroke/seizure. As the scene goes on, she loses more and more power and eventually even loses the power of having people away from her (her personal space is invaded) by shadowy figures which is a culmination of that character's fears in this narrative: No control of health, no control of motor functions, and no control over her own personal space.

At the beginning, you can see I was originally going for a sci-fi corridor of sorts, because I originally wanted a sci-fi setting, but I scrapped that.
