  1. Spinning Reel For Walleye Fishing The Best Spinning Reel For

Walleye Fishing The one mechanical item responsible for eliminating the distance from fish to net. Y ou can bet a spinning reel will be as dependable as your outboard motor. A smooth drag means you'll get no stuttering, skipping, or hooks tearing free. A dependable bail system means you don't set the hook on a fish only to have the line flip the bail open at the worst moment. Super smooth effortless cranking is a prerequisite for aiding in feel. High numbers of ball bearings make this possible. Another feature to look for in a good spinning real is there should be no backwards movement of the handle after you flip or engage the bail closed. Things should feel locked and ready to crank forward. This is the instant anti-reverse feature every salty angler speaks of. Good spinning reels will also perform well in rain and cold temperatures. Granted, all reels will have limits when you get to the freezing mark and it's raining. Finally a good spinning reel will be ergonomically comfortable and balanced for the task at hand. Long hours in a boat performing repetitive muscle movements means we need all the comfort we can get. Vertical Jigging reels as a rule are small, lightweight pieces of equipment. Since vertical jigging rods are short and lightweight we simply balance the outfit with the correct reel. There's no need to have high line capacities on a jigging reel. Drags must be very good and again the instant anti-reverse feature is another key element to look for in a spinning reel.
  2. Spinning Reel For Walleye Fishing Ice Fishing Rods The thing

about these types of rod is they are designed very differently to normal fishing rods. The biggest difference obviously is that you don't have to cast when fishing on ice - you just drop the line down. So your ice rod should be strong enough to battle a large fish, and when I say battle I mean battle and win! Ice rods are designed for the drag on the line to be vertical as opposed to a normal fishing rod, this design will normally mean the end of the rod is very strong so it won't break under duress. Y our choosing the right ice fishing rod is very important because when you are fishing on ice the last thing you want to be doing is worrying about your fishing tackle. Y ou need to choose the right because as you'll soon find out there are hundreds of ice fishing rods to choose from. jigging rod for walleye The most primitive type of fishing pole, the cane pole is generally made of bamboo or another flexible wood material. It has the most basic fly line attached to it and is one of the smallest poles available. The more sophisticated poles now have reels added to their design to assist in the retrieval of fish caught on bait. This action is also known as angling. Another more sophisticated feature is a spinning rod. The entire shaft of the rod, except for the handle, can move around on its axis. This allows flexibility when a fish is caught but is struggling. — Sydney Garrison
  3. Spinning Reel For Walleye Fishing Walleye Jig Fishing A graph

helps put the local on the structure and the fish. Y ou want to get fairly close to the mouth but not so close you can't anchor up. Y ou want to get right on top of the drop off. Some weeds should be growing in the shallows before the drop off. This gives the walleye a place to hide so the can easily ambush their prey and hopefully your jig or bait. Usually walleye feed right off the bottom but sometimes they suspend above this area. This is another good reason to use a graph. Y ou don't waste time trying to figure out what depth they are suspending at. Once anchored up I like to cast toward in until my line falls directly down beside the boat. the weeds and slowly reel Ice rods made of graphite will give a firmer and stronger resilience to reel in your catch with little chance of the rod breaking. But you should remember in very cold temperatures graphite has a tendency to become brittle and can break at the most inappropriate time.
