BPI’s IT is committed to Agile since 2010 and is one of the largest agile implementation in Portugal. Starting with Scrum, we have been continuously iterating and over the past few years we have ventured into Lean ideas, including Kanban and DevOps. We will share this journey with you, what we've learned and where we're heading. Why did we build our own custom tool to manage the whole value stream? What does DevOps mean in a large banking organization? How do we handle multiple technologies, from mainframe to low-code? How do we manage to iterate and keep the momentum? These are some of the questions we will try to answer with this talk.
Tiago Marreiros has been part of the 9-year journey that transformed the way BPI leverages IT, from waterfall to agile and onwards to lean and DevOps. He is currently responsible for the tool that enables a truly transparent, end-do-end, value stream that brings together everyone, from Business to Ops.
