Some of my favorite companies are built on the idea of democratizing a space:
- Amazon enabled anyone to sell books globally
- eBay enabled anyone to sell everything globally
- CraigsList enabled anyone to post classified ads for free thus displacing an entire newspaper industry
Running Triberr for the last 3 years has given us an insight into something most haven’t noticed. We live in the world where a single article on Buzzfeed -for example- gets a 1000 shares. However, people are clamoring to live in the world where 10 articles get 100 shares.
There is a great opportunity in democratizing access to attention in the content space. And Triberr is uniquely positioned to become my next favorite company.
