Why solar concentrators? ● One of the most promising renewable energy technologies ● Easy to manufacture in non-industrial setting (home workshop) ● Can be manufactured out of materials available at construction store ● They are easy to connect with steam engines and generators ● Make renewable energy more accessible and affordable
Why SunnyDay is special? The event will not end just with awarding the winners and giving them prizes All technologies developed will be released as open-source tech drawings — anyone will be able to make the same devices The concentrators developed are intended to be produced in non-industrial / small- scale production settings (home workshop or hackerspace)
