Cognitive Bias ‣ A cognitive bias is a pattern of deviation in judgment, whereby inferences may be drawn in an illogical fashion. ‣ Individuals create their own “subjective social reality” from their perception of the input. ‣ An individual’s construction of social reality, not the objective input, may dictate their behaviour in the social world. ‣ Cognitive Biases may sometimes lead to perceptual distortion, inaccurate judgment, illogical interpretation, or what is broadly called irrationality.

Process Goals Good Process standardises the Communication Which reduces overhead of communication preventing getting things done. i.e. pointless meetings, long emails, wasted effort If you don’t like your process — your team’s, your company’s, your own —Fix it (don’t throw process away because it has a dirty name like ITIL or Prince2) Kanban / Agile / DevOps is a better Process
