2. THE IDEA Hacking Visual stories and multimedia in Wikipedia Shoot 7 90-second videos TOPIC AREA WikiProject Public art/D.C. TECHNIQUE Creative, visually stimulating videos that showcase the public work of art and provide information about the artist, its history and importance within the D.C. art community
3. THE PROBLEM Public art in D.C. is not visually represented enough online The D.C. art scene should be showcased on Wikipedia Attention to these public works of art will help unify the D.C. community and bring more-deserved attention to under-recognized artists Awareness about local artists
4. THE METHOD Making contact with multiple local organizations and art enthusiasts A new initiative by reaching out to multiple organizations and inquiring about the existing information they have about murals and sculptures in D.C. such as CultureCapital, the Hirshorn Museum, Corcoran Gallery of Art and Murals DC Collaboration with these organizations: If they have existing projects we would work together to extend these projects for them. Museums may be helpful in leading us to the artists themselves and perhaps help us set up interviews with the artists

THE RESOURCES/DIFFICULTIES Copyright and finding information about artists It may be hard to find information about the artists who did the murals and get the story behind their existence, but we plan on remedying this by collaborating with D.C. public art communities, museums and organizations Resources Video equipment, audio recording equipment, tripod and video editing software Copyright guidelines related to public art
