  2. HISTORY 1543 Nicolas Copernicus(1473 - 1543), published a book detailing

how the sun is at the center of the solar system, and that the planets moved around the sun 1609 Johannes Kepler (1571 - 1630), observed night sky and published the famous kepler's law of planetary motion. Importantly, he discovered that the orbit of the planets aren't circle.
  3. CONT . . . 1687 Isaac Newton (1642 - 1726),

published his famous law of gravitation He also showed that his law of gravity correctly predicted mathematically that the orbit of the planets always follow an elliptical path. source : https://www.express.co.uk
  4. NEWTON LAW OF GRAVITATION All objects with mass attract each

other. Gravity is always attractive G is a gravitational constant
  5. CONT . . . source: Nasa.com High Horizontal speed -

We still fall, but NEVER hit the ground. This is an ORBIT To reach orbit you must: Go High enough Get High enough horizontal velocity
  6. HOW DO THEY STAY IN AN ORBIT? Once above the

Atmosphere, there is no drag, so the orbit can go on FOREVER. In reality, There is little bit of Air above earths atmosphere.
  7. TYPES OF ORBITS LOW EARTH ORBITS - LEO MEDIUM EARTH

    ORBITS - MEO GEOSYNCHRONOUS EARTH ORBITS - GEO ALT: 100 - 2000 KM, HV(Avg): 6.9 - 7.8 km/sec PER: 68 - 127 min ALT: b/n LEO & GEO Exact ALT: 35,862 KM, HV:3 km/sec, PER: 24 hrs
  8. THE QUESTIONS source:https://www. hanfordsentinel.com source: https://www.spaceanswers.com Why Astronauts in ISS

experience weightlessness? Why do space shuttle catch- fire during re-entry?
