Designing Courses With Mobile in Mind

Our schools have seen an influx of new mobile devices such as iPads, iPhones and Android devices for both teachers and students. With all this new technology we should be seeing an immediate improvement, right? Well, not always. New tools and technology are great, but utilizing them to their full potential in education is still an instructional design problem. We will talk about how you can best design your courses to take full advantage of the new mobile features in Canvas for iOS and Android. Plus, we will discuss ways to adapt your content and teaching for mobile devices in general.

Create quizzes that are open device to teach problem solving and discovery. Create a twitter hashtag for your class and keep a live twitter feed open on your desk to see what your students are tweeting about during class.
