  1. Viky A Voice-Activated Radio-Controlled Car Project submitted by: Guided by:

Mona Garg (07CE48) Ms. Jyoti Gajrani Mahak Gupta(07CE44) Assistant Professor Pramod Acharya Jharna Kewalramani (07CE37)
  2. INTRODUCTION — Viky is a robotic car which works on

radio frequency transmission. — It gives the driver the ability to control the car by voice commands. This is how our robot looks
  3. Voice Commands Viky works on the following commands — Forward

    — Reverse — Left — Back Left — Back Right — Stop BMW voice command 2009 010
  4. IMPLEMENTATION This project involves two parts: 1. The first is

the interfacing of the remote-controlled car to the personal computer. 2. The second one is the analysis and recognition of human voice.
  5. ABOUT SPEECH RECOGNITION Speech recognition is "the technology by which

sounds, words or phrases spoken by humans are converted into electrical signals, and these signals are transformed into coding patterns to which meaning has been assigned".
  6. SPEECH RECOGNITION (contd.) A voice-recognition system may be Speaker-dependent Speaker-independent

A speaker-dependent system must be trained with the user’s voice input. It uses the system of template matching. Whereas, a speaker-independent system is based on feature analysis. No training is required.
  7. TOOLS USED — Microsoft Visual Basic 6 — Microsoft Speech

    API — Proteus — ExpressPCB — Keil — C programming language
  8. Transmitter section — Parallel port — Encoder – HT12E —

Transmitter of radio frequency 434 MHz
  9. Receiver section — Receiver of radio frequency 434 MHz —

    Decoder – HT12D — Microcontroller — L293D — DC motors
  10. USES — The car can be used in a surveillance

system, in order to keep track over the site and detect threats from enemies. — The system can be grown to a higher complex level i.e. the car can be made to understand more complex tasks. — Viky would be most helpful to physically- challenged people to perform their daily work.
