  3. What are key points of Microsoft Learn Applied Skills? •

Scenario-Based Assessment Prove your skills through actual tasks • Flexible Learning Learn at your own pace and take training as needed • Immediate Results Many certifications provide results within minutes To put it simply for those who have taken Microsoft Azure certifications in the past it’s a “Lab exam”
  4. Exam tips Three tips to avoid panicking during the exam

Recommended: 27+ inch monitor * NEVER use a 14-inch laptop monitor The lab machines are still unstable as always. Do not let the machine’s behavior dictate your pace. With Microsoft Learn in hand, let’s do our best until the end. It’s important to do as much as you can. All exams are FREE. Use an external LARGE monitor Remember how to reconnect and restart Never give up until the end
  5. Exam Results on a 14-inch PC Screen * This is

an image based on my real experience. * If you want to try it, do it yourself (and waste 72 hours). Exam window Browser header Address bar Submit Cancel Header and Footer size are FIXED
  6. If you can’t log in to the VM To avoid

panicking during exams First, try using the Reconnect button. If that doesn’t work, Reset/Restart the VM. …I'll give you 3 minutes starting now.
  7. • Batch evaluation: Unlike lab tests where each question has

a specific topic, multiple items are conducted at once and evaluated all at once at the end. • PowerShell issues workaround: Various Azure resource names are defined by PowerShell executed on the VM. Sometimes email body doesn’t work, so in those cases, run editEmail.ps1 file in C:\email folder. • Operation VS Code: In the case of AI-related exams, there are test questions that involve editing C# or Python code. Let’s make sure you can write code properly. • Be careful when creating resources: If resource creation fails, the exam may not be able to continue, so be careful when creating resources. Differences: Lab & Regular Exams
  8. Conclusion • Lab exam experience: If you have taken lab

exams in the past, you shouldn’t have much resistance to taking them. Since they are free, even first-timers should feel encouraged to give it a try. • Use large monitor: Never take the exam on a small monitor. You will regret it. Make sure to have a large monitor to comfortably take the lab exam. • Handle operations carefully: The VM’s performance can be slow and frustrating, and service names may differ from the latest versions. Even if some steps are omitted in the instructions, proceed carefully with the lab exam. • Official documents: • Microsoft Applied Skills process overview | microsoft Learn • Study guide for the Applied Skills assessment lab: Configure secure access to your workloads using Azure networking | Microsoft Learn
