  1. What is Digital Making? learning about technology through making with

    it An opportunity to learn through hands-on work that fosters curiosity, creativity and innovation through messing, building, designing, hacking and making. It doesn’t include checking emails or browsing a website (clearly digital, but not making)! Between the technical and the creative is an intersection where young people make useful projects while learning about technology.
  2. Why is making important? In the UK there is currently

    a lack of ‘making with technology’ skills Half of those questioned by a recent Nesta report make things less than once a week, or never. Over 80% school age children and young people in the UK are interested in digital making. Girls are interested in digital making, but less interested in learning about technology for its own sake.
