Crappy organizational cultures abound. Here's a presentation to put things into perspective. Hopefully you'll realize that you must either create change or create another workplace for yourself :)

6. Compensation as a way to make up for crappy, unhappiness- based work
7. Great leadership serves people, makes them believe
8. Bad leadership belittles people, makes them hate their jobs
9. Bad leadership is when your boss does not admit mistakes, but is quick to judge your work with no consideration for your effort
10. Bad leaders feel threatened and questioned instead of humble and open to criticism
11. When your boss does not care about your happiness, motivation, fulfillment...
12. You don’t work for someone, you work “against” someone
13. He thinks about command & control, not empowerment & collaboration
14. This assumes you’re not a trusted, capable knowledge worker
17. As a result...
18. You are detached from your job, you are living under cognitive dissonance
19. Then...
20. You obtain disenchantment, as money on its own does not make you happy
21. Imagine a life’s worth of work done for a company that does not make you happy
22. Imagine yourself on your deathbed, looking back at the milestones you achieved from projects you hated
23. Feel like quitting? Do it.
24. But not without trying to change your workplace culture first
