7. About Nairobi Nairobi is Kenya’s Capital. A cosmopolitan capital of fabulous food and striking administrative architecture, Nairobi is the city where wildlife and modernity meet, and is much more than a safari starting point. It is popularly known as the world’s wildlife capital, the only city in the world where within few minutes upon arrival, you can be in a National Park in Safari. Nairobi boasts of being the only city in the world with a park within its’ periphery. Black rhinoceros are the star attraction as well as Lions and Leopards, but wildlife enthusiasts are spoilt too with antelopes, zebras, hippopotamuses and giraffes. NNP is home to over 400 species of birds, the park is almost as cosmopolitan as the city itself.
