2. £14 million worth of awarded UK Power Networks flexibility contracts enabled ➔ and dominated awarded contracts ➔ Over of total value accepted went to planned assets
3. Over 1000 DSO flexibility competitions launched by SP Energy Networks on Piclo Flex ➔ In 2019 SP Energy Networks called for flexibility across ➔ of Low Voltage flexibility sought over the five year period

RIIO-ED2 will set the trajectory for UK flexibility markets ➔ Ofgem consultation on the proposals for the next price control period (2023-2028) closes ➔ Introduction of to incentivise flexibility and comply with the Clean Energy Package by end of 2020 ➔ During RIIO-ED2, DSOs expected to have in place transparent and robust processes to identify when to use flexibility
5. RIIO-ED2 will set the trajectory for UK flexibility markets ➔ Value third party services ➔ DNOs should not directly dispatch (have hard control) on customer assets, except in defined circumstances ➔ Prioritisation of ESO-DSO coordination ➔ Enable secondary markets
