Consider open source software especially R

Presented at the National Research Institute in Port Moresby.
The presentation provides an overview of the R statistical environment, and highlights some of the advantages and disadvantages of using the system. Despite disadvantages, organisations and individuals who cannot afford or have difficulty meeting the licencing fees for proprietary software should consider open source software.
