A presentation on the “NASA Open Government Initiative and Social Media Engagement” given at the Gov 2.0 Conference at the National Convention Center in Canberra, Australia on 25 October 2011. The presentation explores how YOU can engage citizens in your mission by better understanding on how to harness the opportunities Open Government presents. The objectives of the presentation include a) identifying the needs of your community to understand how to better communicate and engage them; b) engaging citizens through the use of Web 2.0 technology; and c) moving towards an open and transparent government.
