Smurfs: The Lost Village - "Smurf Village"

A version of the opening sequence from Sony Pictures Animation's "Smurfs: The Lost Village". Using the script as a jumping off point, director Kelly Asbury tasked me with exploring a more adult take on Smurf Village; closer to Peyo's original rambunctious Belgium comics of the 1960’s rather than the watered down Saturday morning versions we've grown accustomed to. His exact mandate was to (quote): “…give it more 'Family Guy' humor”. My results, through re-writing and multiple story sketch gag passes, hopefully achieved that goal.
