technological revolu,on in 9-‐1-‐1. Next Genera,on 9-‐1-‐1 allow the emergency response community to adapt to new modes of communica,on including text, video, and the emerging sensor web. Internet communica, ons technology, cloud compu,ng, and GIS are all coming together to create a new 9-‐1-‐1 infrastructure. The data that will fuel this revolu,on is collected, organized, and maintained at the local level. Coopera,on and coordina,on between local en,,es will be mission-‐cri,cal for the spa,al rou,ng of 9-‐1-‐1 calls. State-‐wide integrated geospa,al data systems will need to be created. Every person who calls for help or answers 9-‐1-‐1 calls will be directly affected by the planning the 9-‐1-‐1 community, and the greater geospa,al community does right now to meet the demand for geospa,al data in 21st century Texas.
