    decided through a vote to leave the European Union. It is a first in the history of this organisation.

  4. Faced with the horror and the violence of the Second

    World War, the Europeans decide to build a common political project. The objective: Avoid going to war against each other again. During the Second World War, Nazi Germany imprisoned in camps and killed millions of European Jews but also gypsies, slavs, homosexuals, political opponents, Jehovah’s witnesses, vagabonds, ordinary prisoners… L’Europe: War, never again!

    more than 250,000 students and 35,000 teachers to study or teach in another European country every year.
  6. The fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 marks the

    reunification not only of Germany but also of the whole of Europe, separated until then between capitalist countries and communist countries. In 1961, the soviets build a wall in Berlin that separates communist Germany (in the East) from capitalist Germany (in the West).
