we feel exhibiting it there would give it the recognition and publicity it deserves. We could use Saatchi to an advantage on different mediums , as well as showcasing it in the venue we could publicise and market our short film in the art and music Saatchi gallery magazine. Our research shows that it would cost between £750-£1000 for a fixed price to hire a venue room such as shown in the photograph. With the increase in street art becoming more popular we could also exhibit our film as a form of art, projecting on the walls of buildings. Places such as the Tate modern have previously done this in the past. More upmarket bars and clubs could also screen and project our film. We would also exhibit our films online, though our own websites as well as entering our work in online film festivals, including http://www.iphoneff.com/ an iphone film festival due to the fact some of out footage was shot on an iphone 4s
categories: Our budget is £15,000 Preproduction (£1,500) This will cover everything from our costumes, props, screen tests, location organising, set construction and transportation. Many of our expenses will end up in this category, also including expenses for having to print out our shooting schedules. Production (£8000) This is largest portion of where our costs will go. Most of production costs fall into the following categories: insurance, transportation, cinematography (including the camera, tripod, filters, batteries, and media), lighting, makeup, equipment and location rentals, and fixing anything that breaks during shooting. We will need: all of the above plus a crane when shooting our shot of the balloons flying away. Postproduction(£2000) We will need an editing workstation, software, special effects software and costs associated with test screenings. We will into need any cost for editors as we will edit our short film ourselves. Distribution & Marketing(£3000) We would have to include money for postage; film festival getting the film to the audience is a very important aspect. In addition to this we would need to take into consideration costs for conversions of our short film to other media (including 35mm if we will be shooting in HD), and a website in which we could use for advertising.
