  1. Keynote Address: Agentic Commerce When AI Agents Start Moving Money

What happens when AI agents make purchases, negotiate prices, and move money on their own — and why fintech needs to be ready. Zdeněk “Z” Němec
 CTO & founder, arcpay.ai
Former Director at Apiary (acquired by Oracle). API expert – DHL, Volkswagen, KLM-AF, Adidas, Inditex (Zara) UnBundled / Fintech Week CEE · Prague · May 2026

T I O N Fintech spent 15 years making payments faster for humans. We built the right thing for the wrong era. Every rail, every API, every fraud model, every KYC flow — built around one assumption A human decides. Then pays. Open banking. PSD2. Instant payments. Embedded finance. All of it. Every compliance framework, every authorization model — designed for a world where there is always a human at one end of the transaction. That assumption just broke x.com/zdne | linkedin.com/in/zdne/

was year zero. Most of fintech didn't notice. Three protocols launched in six months: May ‘25 x402 Coinbase + Vercel — internet-native payment protocol. HTTP-level payments for agents. Now a Linux Foundation project backed by AWS, Microsoft, Visa, Mastercard. VISA Coinbase Vercel Microsoft Mastercard 170M+ transactions $50M+ volume AWS Amazon Web Services Sept ‘25 Oct ‘25 AP2 / UCP Google + Mastercard + PayPal — Agent Payment Protocol / Universal Commerce Protocol. 60+ organizations. Cryptographic authorization of agent intent. Google PayPal Adyen Target Walmart Mastercard ACP OpenAI + Stripe + Shopify — Agentic Commerce Protocol — live in ChatGPT, 1M+ merchants Stripe Shopify OpenAI Expedia Instacart Walmart, Target, Mastercard, Amex, Adyen all signed on live in production inside ChatGPT today The fintech industry was debating open banking mandates. The protocol layer for AI commerce got built around it. x.com/zdne | linkedin.com/in/zdne/

c C o m m e r c e I s Three steps. Zero humans. 01 Discover Agent identifies the need. Queries suppliers via API — no browsing, no forms. Checks inventory, availability, real-time pricing. 02 Contract Requests quotes from multiple providers. Compares price, terms, delivery windows, quality data, past performance. Selects the winner — autonomously. 03 Pay Executes the transaction. Settlement confirmed. Audit trail logged. No human approval at any step. 7:23 AM, Thursday Inventory agent detects 2 bags of coffee remaining
→ queries 3 suppliers → compares quotes, delivery reliability, quality ratings → selects $164 same-day option → places order for 10 bags → confirms 3PM delivery – Total time: 34 seconds. No one in the office noticed. This isn't AI-assisted commerce — human clicks, AI helps.
This is AI-executed commerce. Different category entirely. x.com/zdne | linkedin.com/in/zdne/

C H E C K Already live. Already messier than the hype. OpenAI ChatGPT / ACP ~20 enterprise partners — Target, Walmart, Instacart, Expedia — Stripe-powered, in-chat purchasing Stripe Target OpenAI Walmart Expedia Instacart Google Direct Buy / UCP "Gemini, buy me my usual mascara from Ulta" Shopify, Wayfair, Ulta, GAP Walmart — loyalty-aware, multimodal, 14 countries Google Ulta GAP Wayfair Walmart ✗ OpenAI killed "Instant Checkout" Merchants refused to become ghost kitchens — invisible fulfillment centers behind OpenAI's brand. Merchants who handed Amazon their storefront in 2005 know how that ended too. Google: “The split” Ulta: full handover — loyalty points auto-applied, checkout completes inside Gemini. Gap: Business Agent model — brand controls the experience, keeps the customer data, manages logistics itself. Same protocol. Completely opposite philosophy. 60 % of consumers still won't hand bots their raw payment credentials. The infrastructure is ahead of the trust. x.com/zdne | linkedin.com/in/zdne/
  6. T H E D I S C O V E

    R Y P R O B L E M When humans stop searching,
who controls what agents find? In the agentic world your buyer agent acts on your behalf — it doesn't browse, it queries. If your catalog isn't agent-readable, you're not losing the bid. You're not in the room. This is why AEO — Answer Engine Optimization — is the new SEO. Almost nobody is ready for it. GOOGLE’S MOVE UCP isn't just a “universal commerce” protocol. It's Google making sure they remain the front door of the internet when humans are no longer the ones knocking. x.com/zdne | linkedin.com/in/zdne/
  7. T H E P A T T E R N

We’ve seen this before. Brick and mortar assumed you'd walk into a store → e-commerce broke that. E-commerce assumed you'd visit a website → agentic commerce breaks that. Retailers who bet everything on their physical store in 1999 know how this ends. x.com/zdne | linkedin.com/in/zdne/
  8. Forget the mascara. B2B is where the money actually is.

Agents don't just serve us. Agents buy from agents. x.com/zdne | linkedin.com/in/zdne/
  9. T H E B 2 B E A R T

H Q U A K E Agents committing company capital. Without asking. Not an automation. Delegation of financial decision-making to machines. 40% Of enterprise software will have embedded agents by EOY 2026. (Gartner) $2–5T AI agent-completed purchases projected across global payment volumes by 2030 (J.P. Morgan) Salesforce Agentforce /seller side/ Autonomous qualification, pricing, quote generation, contract negotiation. No human sales rep. Salesforce Quote. Purchase. Fulfillment. All three exist independently, right now. When they connect — the entire commercial loop runs without a human anywhere. SAP Joule Bid Analysis Agent /buyer side/ Autonomous supplier evaluation, bid comparison, winner selection. GA Q1 2026. No human procurement manager. SAP Microsoft Dynamics 365 /execution side/ "Self-healing supply chains" — agents monitor weather, port congestion, geopolitical feeds, shift orders to backup suppliers without being asked. Microsoft x.com/zdne | linkedin.com/in/zdne/
  10. T H E R E T R O F I

T P R O B L E M Retrofitted. Not rebuilt. Every current agentic commerce solution is just human-era tooling with a new label on it. SPT: Shared Payment Token Encrypt a human card so an agent can use it KYA: Know Your Agent Register agents like authorized signatories on a corporate account. 1970s banking concept with a new name. Why it breaks Clever encryption, but still a human's card, a human's account, a human's liability. The agent is a masked cardholder. Why it breaks KYC was built for people with legal identity and intent. An agent has neither. Who is liable when two agents transact and something goes wrong? Agentic Corporate Cards (JPM, Amex) Virtual cards locked to a pre-approved purchase order. Why it breaks Agents make decisions nobody programmed. You cannot pre-approve the unpredictable. T+2 Settlement Wire transfers. Bank rails. Days to clear. Why it breaks Agent decisions happen in milliseconds. The money moves in days. Incompatible. Architectural Gap. You cannot bolt agent-native commerce onto human-era rails. You have to build new ones. x.com/zdne | linkedin.com/in/zdne/
  11. W H A T T H E A G E

N T I C C O M M E R C E A C T U A L L Y N E E D S The blueprint exists. The infrastructure doesn't. Identity Agents need their own financial identity. Not a borrowed corporate card — their own wallet, their own legal standing. today: borrow card → tomorrow: own wallet Control Programmable spending that's mission-aware, not pre-approved. The agent knows the budget. The budget knows the mission. today: fixed mandates → tomorrow: mission-aware Trust Graduated authorization. Full autonomy under $X. Human escalation above $Y. Not all-or-nothing. today: all-or-nothing → tomorrow: graduated Rails Millisecond settlement. The decision and the payment have to move at the same speed. today: T+2 bank rails →
tomorrow: instant The companies that build this don't have a seat at the table. They own the table. x.com/zdne | linkedin.com/in/zdne/
  12. T h e C L O S E The foundation

is laid. The rest is wide open. $2–5 trillion vacancy. Whose name goes on it? And in five years, we'll look back at this moment the way we look back at 2009 — when Stripe quietly decided that internet payments didn't have to be broken. The question isn't whether this gets built. It's whether you're the one who builds it? Zdeněk “Z” Němec
