This presentation was given at the PyCon Namibia conference on the 28th of January 2016 majorly to encourage beginners just starting their programming journey in Python and to gather support for the Python Nigeria community

3. 2015 (Discovery) •Andela (2 weeks web dev female bootcamp) •M.Sc. in Information Technology (Java) •DjangoGirls Bilbao at Europython THEN TransCode @PyCon UK. What Happened next? Killer app? awesome developer job? Lived happily ever after?

8. WE STARTED FROM JUST 3 SUBSCRIBERS & 2 MESSAGES SINCE THE TIME THE MAILING LIST WAS CREATED IN 2012 TO ALMOST 50 MEMBERS IN LESS THAN 3MONTHS. python-nigeria@python.org

12. •“Came through the Language and stayed for the community”-Brett Cannon #PyCon2014 •You've only got one life. it's okay to Live, it's okay to explore enough things till you find the one or more things that makes you ‘YOU’ ADVICE?

MORE ADVICE? • Above all always be true to yourself, start something however little (for me it was community) for you it might be bringing your exciting idea to life. • My point is MOVE, be in motion never stop believing in yourself. • MENTORSHIP; having a good support system of amazing people (the python community every single person around you right now wants to help; you just need to ask)
