  3. Nodes Committee ❖ The Participant Node Managers Committee will serve

    as a forum for sharing information about the status and best practices of Participants' nodes, and as an advisory committee that will make recommendations to the Governing Board, the Executive Committee, the Science Committee and the Secretariat concerning relevant issues for the nodes.
  4. Nodes Steering Group ❖ Established in 2011, the Nodes Steering

    Group (NSG) consists of the chair and vice-chairs of the Participant Node Managers Committee joined by a regional representative from each of GBIF’s six regions. The NSG’s objectives are to formulate specific recommendations to relevant GBIF bodies based on feedback provided by Participant nodes, and to provide advice on GBIF’s annual work programmes as they relate to the efforts of GBIF nodes.
  5. Regional sub-committees ❖ Serve as a platform for communication, coordination

    and collaboration ❖ Capture and compile feedback from Participant Nodes ❖ Present and discuss regionally compiled feedback to NSG ❖ Promoting and facilitating regional collaboration and capacity building ❖ Appoint a Regional Representative, and deputy, to NSG Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America & Caribbean, North America and Oceania
