The decrees of God are His eternal purpose, according to the counsel of His will, whereby for His own glory, He has foreordained whatsoever comes to pass. Or, more simply put: “What God wants to happen for His glory that He will make happen.” Psalm 115:3 “Our God is in the heavens: He does all that he pleases”
God executes His decrees in the works of creation and providence. “Providence” = the protective works of God. Rev 4:11 11 “Worthy are you, our Lord and God, to receive glory and honor and power, for You created all things, and by Your will they existed and were created.”
