This beer should be the most accurate celebration drink to me what comes to the Nov 3rd, 2011.The drink seems to be very stout like; black, short light brown thick head, roast smell of smoke and coffee. Opaque brown-black with a creamy, lasting, slightly green-tinged light brown head with thick lacing. Aroma is lush - fresh non-acidic coffee roast, a little cream and mint tossed in, very light chocolate and "dark" fruit (7+). Taste follows, also has a hint of mineral grittiness which knocks down the incipient sweetness from the coffee/chocolate roast - alcohol is incredibly restrained, really nicely balanced all-round when you start to detect light peat, herbal/floral bitterness and even some random oak tannin as it warms. Creamy and thick mouthfeel, a bit airy, the alcohol emerges slightly in the bitter, slightly earthy roast coffee bean finish.
