  2. I opened the original photo in Photoshop and cropped it,

then I altered the opacity, making the photo more translucent so that writing layered on top of the photo would be easy to read and clear. Next, I placed the school’s name to the top of the photo in order to act as the magazine name, so that it is easily identifiable.
  3. I used the school colour, purple, to attract readers as

well as to make the magazine easily identified as relating to the school. I used red as the two colours do not clash so they make the magazine cover attractive. I also added a subheading, ‘The Griffin’, to title the edition of the magazine for readers. I also added a barcode using a downloaded font from ‘dafont.com’.
  4. I used photoshop to initially crop the photo and then

I changed the opacity. I changed the opacity so that writing overlaid on the photo can easily be seen.
  5. I then opened the edited photo in Picmonkey in order

to add text. I used Picmonkey as I find certain features to be more comprehensive than Photoshop.
  6. I used a unique font for the title, ‘contents’ as

this makes it easily identifiable as it stands out. I downloaded this font from the collection on dafont.com.
  7. Next I added text along he left side of the

page, resembling the generic layout for a contents page as the articles are in a simple list.
