Extracurricular activities are very important to the community. However they often fail because of common problems, (funding, struggles to develop, aren't well known, etc.). In this slideshow, I addressed the three main problems and came up with different solutions to help the community include more extracurricular activities.

3. Background information • There is a significant lack of extracurricular activities in our community. When searching for youth extracurricular activities, it revealed limited number of opportunities. • Heroes of New Orleans, stand out as one of the few organizations addressing this need. • Heroes of New Orleans emphasizes that “Youth Development Programs are needed in our community for student empowerment through positive experiences and exposure necessary for positive growth and development, encouraging life changes through honesty, integrity, respect, structure, and excellence.” • This demonstrates the critical need for organizations like Heroes of New Orleans to find a solution for this problem. Focusing on issues like funding and awareness, can give more students a chance to succeed and make a difference in their lives.
