[2017.10 Meetup #18] [TALK] Manuel Pais - Everyone is Part of Continuous Delivery

All Day DevOps is a free online conference that lasts 24h. Manuel Pais presented this talk, which is part of the conference schedule.

Delivery pipelines are an excellent tool for visualizing work status. But they’re even better as collaboration tools! A pipeline that accurately maps the flow of work will highlight recurring bottlenecks and waiting times, often due to work hand-offs between siloed teams, working in isolation.

Unfortunately, pipelines often lead to Continuous Delivery exclusion because they’re only focusing on the automated bits. But if your organization needs to deliver fast(er), don’t buy a Ferrari that only takes 2 people… Prefer a family car that can take everyone comfortably at the max speed that is safe and reliable!

Manuel Pais is a team and flow oriented technologist. Manuel enjoys helping organizations adopt test automation and continuous delivery, as well as understanding DevOps from both technical and human perspectives. Co-founder of DevOps Lisbon meetup. Co-author of the upcoming book "Team Guide to Software Releasability".
