  1. Timeline • February 2018: Migration to hosted server for Millennium.

    • March 2018: Migration from Millennium to Sierra. • June 2018: ILS manager retires, ‘ownership’ of Sierra moves to technical services. • July - August 2018: Handoff of ILS management to Electronic Resources, audit of implementation begins. ◦ Many unresolved issues in Basecamp, several critical workflows in Acquisitions and Cataloging fail, loss of historical data.
  2. Timeline • September - October 2018: Bug/error duplication and testing

in technical services. • October 2018: Little to no response over Basecamp, implementation team no longer responding. Conference call with Account Executive, Implementation Manager, and VP of Client Services for Sierra after Brown is asked to pay for additional Serials Unit. • December 2018: Brown requests site visit, summary of incidents sent to Sierra.
  3. Timeline • January 2019: Site visit with Sierra group. ◦

Planning with Digital Technologies to update to current release over Spring Break. ◦ Work for new Serials unit includes license addendum, sent to OGC. • February 2019: CIS moves Sierra to a level 3 risk classification. This prompts CIS to request a full HECVAT from Sierra rather than use the previous HECVAT-lite. • Yesterday, 2/20! OGC approves the addendum. • March 2019: Upgrade from Sierra 3.4 to 4.2, addition of the missing Serials unit.
  4. What’s next? • Add additional Serials unit, ASAP. • Upgrade

to current release of Sierra, Spring Break 2019. • Troubleshoot previously reported errors and inconsistent behaviors. • Assessment of training needs and schedule in-person sessions with Sierra experts. • Transition of ILS Coordinator role. This is the backbone of the library. It does not run itself.
