  3. Multi-value parameters for API Gateway Amazon API Gateway supports multiple

headers and query string parameters with the same name in the API Request.
  4. Client-side aggregation of metrics Amazon CloudWatch now enables you to

aggregate metric data on the client-side and publish it in a single PutMetricData API call. This allows you to efficiently ingest high volumes of metric data whilst reducing costs with fewer API calls.
  5. CodeBuild support BitBucket PR AWS CodeBuild now allows you to

build Atlassian Bitbucket pull requests, making it easier to collaborate across your team while editing and building your application code with CodeBuild.
  6. Custom metrics for CW Agent Amazon CloudWatch Agent now supports

the ability to publish custom StatsD or collectd metrics to CloudWatch. You can leverage these custom metrics to create alarms for triggering notifications and auto-scaling actions or save them to dashboards for quick viewing in CloudWatch.
  7. IAM Authentication for Postgres RDS Amazon RDS enables you to

use AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) to manage database access for Amazon RDS for PostgreSQL DB instances. Database administrators can now associate database users with IAM users and roles.
  8. OpenAPI 3.0 for API Gateway Amazon API Gateway supports importing

and exporting APIs using the OpenAPI 3.0 API specification.
  9. High-memory EC2 instances Amazon EC2 High Memory instances with up

to 12 TB of memory are generally available.
  10. YubiKey as MFA device Now, you can allow easy authentication

for your users by enabling YubiKey security key as your users’ MFA device.
  11. NLB and PrivateLink support AWS VPN Network Load Balancers support

connections from clients and to its targets over AWS managed VPN. On-premises applications can now securely access AWS PrivateLink endpoints over AWS VPN.
  12. AWS Lambda Supports PowerShell Core You can now develop your

AWS Lambda functions in PowerShell Core 6.0 using the .NET Core 2.1 runtime. As a PowerShell developer, you can manage your AWS resources and craft rich automation scripts from within the PowerShell environment using AWS Lambda.
  13. Introducing AWS Systems Manager Session Manager AWS Systems Manager Session

Manager is a new interactive shell and CLI that helps to provide secure, access-controlled, and audited Windows and Linux EC2 instance management. Session Manager removes the need to open inbound ports, manage SSH keys, or use bastion hosts.
  14. Introducing CloudFormation Macros AWS CloudFormation Macros perform custom processing on

CloudFormation templates from simple actions such as find-and-replace to transformation of entire templates. CloudFormation Macros use the same technology that powers AWS::Include and AWS::Serverless transforms.
  15. Amazon EKS Available in Ireland Amazon Elastic Container Service for

Kubernetes (EKS) is now available in the AWS Europe (Ireland) Region.
  16. Multiple in-/outputs for AWS CodeBuild AWS CodeBuild now supports build

projects with multiple input sources and output artifacts. Your projects can now use one or more sources from Amazon S3, AWS CodeCommit, GitHub, GitHub Enterprise, or Bitbucket and can upload multiple sets of artifacts to one or more Amazon S3 buckets.
  17. Introducing EC2 T3 Instances T3 instances offer a balance of

compute, memory, and network resources and are designed to provide a baseline level of CPU performance with the ability to burst above the baseline when needed. T3 instances feature the latest high frequency Intel Xeon Scalable processors which combined with the AWS Nitro System result in up to a 30% better price to performance improvement over T2 instances. T3 instances also support Enhanced Networking with up to 5 Gbps in network bandwidth using the Amazon Elastic Network Adaptor.
  18. Introducing Aurora Serverless Amazon Aurora Serverless is a new deployment

option that automatically starts, scales, and shuts down an Amazon Aurora database. It offers database capacity without the need to provision, scale, and manage any database servers. Aurora Serverless is now generally available for Amazon Aurora with MySQL compatibility.
  19. Amazon ECS Now Supports Docker Volumes and Volume Plugins You

can now easily configure your containerized application to access storage volumes backed by Local instance storage, Amazon Elastic Block Storage (EBS) or Amazon Elastic File System (EFS) volumes through the use of Docker volume drivers and volume plugins such as Rex-Ray and Portworx .
  20. Amazon VPC Flow Logs can now be delivered to S3

Amazon Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) Flow Logs can now be directly delivered to Amazon Simple Storage Service (S3) using the AWS Command Line Interface (CLI) or through your Amazon EC2 or VPC console. You can now deliver VPC Flow Logs to both S3 and CloudWatch Logs.
