The Hype • We'd like to take a moment to send some love to @docker because their tool helps power our awesomeness. • The more and more I play with @docker …the more I like it! • @docker should be in visionaries : Gartner's Magic Quadrant for Application Platform as a Service • @docker is magic! I’m sure someone said • @docker is the best thing since sliced bread
9. Why I am not excited • I don’t like setting up agents/daemons/etc… remember me! I am the ansible guy • LXC is good at what it does
10. For my use cases it doesn’t offer significant benefits I work on amazon (IO limitations) I use LXC already I don’t trust precreated images I don’t believe in the “golden image” I don’t think that containers are immutable
11. Open questions about containers in general Logging System Vs. Application Security I don’t see how docker solves this
