Opening  Keynote  – closing  words: • Residents  of  the  Arctic  are  guardians  of  a   healthy  environment • Residents  of  the  Arctic  determine  pace  of   sustainable  development • Existing  socio-­‐‑political  systems  in  place • Results  of  economic  development  should  be   education,  public  services  and  safety  net • Encourage  paths  to  cooperation  and   partnership
