Open Design Studio AIARG

Presentation for the All Ireland Architecture Research Group 2013.
In the same way that the Free source and the Free Culture movements have represented a disruptive transformation of the software and the culture industry respectively, it is likely to expect that the Open Design movement will have a similar impact in design related disciplines, not only in the designed objects and buildings themselves but also on the design profession and education.
This presentation discusses the potential impact and future consequences of the Open design movement in architectural practice and education.
