7. どのような活動をしてきたか • OSSコミュニティへの参加 2003年頃～ • 主に勉強会やカンファレンスの裏方(同) • koedolug 等での会場提供 2009年頃～ • OSCやKOFへのコミュニティでの出展スタッフ • LinuxCon(Open Source Summit Japan)の当日 スタッフ • Debian mini confやPyCon JPのスタッフ – 元々Debconf(世界のDebian開発者が集まる年に 一度のカンファレンス)などの参考のため
8. OSSコミュニティへの参加 • 2003年頃OSSコミュニティの存在を知り一般参 加を始める • YLUG – 現在活動休止 OLSやkoedolugを知る • koedolug(こえどらぐ) – https://koedolug.connpass.com/ – 参加者同士が発表するスタイルが良い • Ottawa Linux Symposium – Linuxの先端を知りたくほぼ初海外に自腹で毎年 – これがMIRACLE LINUXへの転職のきっかけ – ->LinuxCon Japan ->Open Source Summit Japan
9. 勉強会やカンファレンスの裏方 • 会社(ミラクル リナックスやサイバートラスト) の会場提供 • 最小のカンファレンス(1トラック)を回す知識 – 会場確保 – コンテンツ – 参加者募集 – 参加者受付 – wifi – プロジェクタ等 – 懇親会手配

12. PyCon JPのスタッフで経験を積む • 2013年のPyCon APAC(日本開催)に一般参加 – その場でスタッフに知り合いを見つけてスタッフ 参加方法を聞く • 2014年のPyCon JP 2014からスタッフ開始 • 2014-2015:事務局 • 2016:システム • 2017-2019:座長 – 日本の他の(Mini)PyConに積極的に参加 – PyCon APAC(アジア開催)は重点的に参加 – PyCon US 2017,PyCon Taiwanなど
13. PyCon JP • PyCon JP is a conference organized and run by volunteers in the Japanese Python community that is dedicated to advancing and promoting the Python programming language. Through holding the PyCon JP conference, Python users can gather and exchange information with other developers from a wide variety of fields. It is our aim to create new relationships between the different communities and businesses using Python. • Pythonユーザが集まり、PythonやPythonを使ったソフトウェ アについて情報交換、交流をするためのカンファレンスです。 PyCon JPの開催を通じて、Pythonの使い手が一堂に集まり、 Pythonにまつわる様々な分野の知識や情報を交換し、新た な友達やコミュニティとのつながり、仕事やビジネスチャンス を増やせる場所とすることが目標です。

17. Python Charity Talks in Japan • Python Software Foundation(PSF)への寄付イ ベントPython Charity Talks in Japanを開催 – スポンサー収入及び参加チケット収入から消費 税納税分を差し引いた金額をPSFに寄付 – 機材費や各種手数料は一般社団法人PyCon JP Associationが負担

20. The PyCon JP Association team was awarded the 2021 Q4 Community Service Award. PSFのCommunity Service AwardはPythonコミュニティに対して利益 がある活動をしている個人、団体を表彰する制度です。 これはPython Software Foundation からのアジア圏初のService Awardの受賞です。 PyCon JPや地域PyConの開催、PSFの商標問題関連の作業、Python Charity Talks in Japanによる25,000 USD以上のPSFへの寄付といった 活動が認められたようです。当然これは私たち理事メンバーだけの成果 ではなく、PyCon JPや地域PyConのスタッフと関係者、Python Charity Talksの寄付に賛同してくれたスタッフ、スピーカー、スポンサー、参加 者のみなさんの活動が認められたということだと思います。 https://pyconjp.blogspot.com/2022/02/psf-community-service- award.html

PyCon US 2022 was held in Salt Lake City for the first time in 3 years. • And because there was an award ceremony for the PSF Community Service Awards. • 4月末から5月にかけてアメリカにも行ってき ました。 • PyCon US 2022が3年振りにリアルでSLCで開 催されました。そしてPSF Community Service Awardsの受賞式があったためです。
