     week,  lets  have  a  glance  @  some   of  the  interes9ng  IT  facts  @  Olympics  2012!   Atos  leads  the  technology  effort  for  London  Olympics  2012!   For  this  Olympics,  Atos  have  deployed  900  servers,  10000   computers  &  450  staff,  supported  by  miles  of  high  speed  fibre   op9c  network  cables.   The  Technology  Opera9ons  Centre  @  London  2012  will  be  able  to   process  30%  more  results  data  than  Beijing  2008  ensuring  the   world’s  media  meets  the  increasing  demand  of  fans  for   informa9on  as  it  happens.   Managed,  centrally  from  the  Technology  Opera9ons  Centre,  the   Commentator  Informa9on  System  provides  commentators  &   journalists  with  touch-­‐screen  technology  that  gives  results  in  real   9me,  so  quick  they  can  see  the  results  before  they  hear  the  roar   of  the  crowd!   200,000  hours  or  23.5  years  or  8333  hours  worth  of  tes9ng  has   been  carried  out  on  the  IT  systems  to  simulate  &  prepare  for   every  possible  scenario!!   With  15  billion  PCs,  smart  phones  &  tablets  predicted  to  be   connected  to  the  internet  by  the  summer  of  2012,  the  London   Games  are  set  to  be  the  biggest  smart  Games  ever.

     system  was  released  on  July  25,  2012  &  was   codenamed  as  ‘Mountain  Lion’!!  Now  let’s  look  @  some  interes9ng  facts   about  this  King  of  Opera3ng  System!!   Mountain  Lion  is  just  priced  at  $20  which  is  just  ₹1100!!     FYI,  its  compe9tor  Windows  7  pricing  starts  from  $120  which  is  5  9mes   greater  than  the  price  of  Mountain  Lion  J   On  July  30,  2012,  Apple  announced  that  downloads  of  OS  X  Mountain  Lion   have  exceeded  3  million  in  just  4  days!!  ,  making  it  the  most  successful  OS  X   release  in  Apple’s  history.   Mountain  Lion  is  power  packed  with  200+  new  features!   Mountain  Lion  made  social  networking  easy.  It  reportedly  has  features  to   speedup  sharing  on  Facebook,  Twiger,  Flickr  &  other  services.   The  Power  Nap  feature  will  now  run  updates  even  while  the  machine  is  in   “sleep”  mode.  It  automa9cally  updates  Mail,  Contacts,  Calendar,  Reminders,   Notes,  Photo  Stream,  etc.,  Wow!!  That’s  really  a  power  packed  feature!   Now  you  can  send  messages  to  anyone  on  an  iPhone,  iPad,  or  iPod  touch   running  iOS  5  with  iMessage.   With  Mountain  Lion,  you  can  now  dictate  your  text.  It  works  seamlessly  with   almost  every  applica9on,  including  Microsok  Word.
