  1. What is Kai? Kai is a virtual assistant platform that

    helps you manage calendar events and tasks. Using Kai on your Android device or your desktop web browser, Kai helps to: Manage your calendar and events Manage your tasks Verbally remind you of events and dated tasks
  2. Create an account or login The first step to use

    Kai is to create an account. Visit our home page for links or go directly to the url https://login.kaisays.com
  3. Sync with Google Calendar Use Google Calendar? Kai can monitor

    and give you reminders for calendar events on your Google Calendar account(s). To use this feature, sign up or login to the Kai service using the ‘Sign in with Google’ button shown below. Sign in / Sign up to monitor your Google Calendar accounts
  4. Sign up for an account or login Click ‘Register’ if

    you are a new customer and fill out details, or enter your login information to login to an existing account. You can also login using your Google or Facebook account. Existing user login New user registration
  5. Complete new user wizard If you are a new user,

    you will be prompted with a Kai setup wizard. Please provide Kai with your name, time zone and plan preferences to allow Kai to personalize your account.
  6. View calendar Once logged in, you will be presented with

    the calendar view. The calendar view will show all events and tasks which have a due date/time. You can open the calendar view at any time by pressing the ‘Calendar’ tab.  Note for Google Calendar users. Please allow 5-10 minutes for Kai to download your calendar event information after sign up. Calendar tab
  7. Add an event The calendar view will allow you to

    view, add, update or delete events from your calendar*. To add an event, click the ‘+’ button, then press ‘Add Event’.  You can also create an event by clicking on a date and time of the calendar. The new event will automatically use the selected date and time. Add to agenda Add event
  8. Edit or delete an event To edit or delete an

    event from the calendar view, select the event you wish to edit or delete from the calendar grid. A page will open allowing you to make changes or delete the event. Select event to edit or delete Edit or delete event
  9. View tasks The task view will show all dated and

    standard tasks. You can open the task view at any time by pressing the ‘Tasks’ tab. Tasks tab
  10. Add a task The task view will allow you to

    view, add, update or delete events from your task list*. To add an task, click the ‘+’ button, then press ‘Add Task’.  The task and calendar views both provide access to add a task or an event. Add task Add to task list
  11. Edit or delete a task To edit or delete a

    task from the task view, select the task you wish to edit or delete from the task list by clicking on the task name or anywhere on the task row. A page will open allowing you to make changes or delete the task. Select task to edit or delete Edit or delete task
  12. Use voice commands One of the most exciting features of

    Kai is the ability for you to issue instructions about your calendar and tasks using voice commands. With voice commands you can:  Add new tasks  Add new events  Check your schedule for tasks and events Other voice commands for Kai include:  Check movie showtimes  Get directions  Get the time or date  Check weather conditions near you or at nearly any location  Check news headlines
  13. Issue a voice command In order to issue a voice

    command, please note that your computer must be equipped with a working microphone, webcam or similar device. To issue a voice command, click the microphone found in the upper right hand corner of your screen. It will turn orange while Kai is listening for your command.   14. Use voice commands for events Kai understands a number of

    different ways to create new events and review your events using voice commands. You can say things like: “Remind me to meet with Susan next Tuesday from 1pm until 3pm.” “New event. Dance recital for Karen tomorrow night at 7pm.” “Remind me to have dinner with John this Tuesday from 6pm until 730pm.” “What is my schedule tomorrow?” ** “What is my schedule today?” ** “What is my schedule next week?” **  ** Note that Kai will mention both events and tasks as part of your schedule.
  15. Use voice commands for tasks Kai understands a number of

    different ways to create new tasks and review your tasks using voice commands. You can say things like: “Remind me to make the bank deposit by 3pm on Tuesday.” “New task. Wash the car.” “Remind me to have pick up milk tonight by 5pm.” “What is my schedule tomorrow?” ** “What is my schedule today?” ** “What is my schedule next week?” **  ** Note that Kai will mention both events and tasks as part of your schedule.
  16. Manage your reminders Please note that adding or making changes

    to any of the reminders is optional, this is because Kai automatically created several reminders when you first created your account. Click the play button to hear an example of a reminder spoken from Kai: You can skip the next steps entirely if you wish and you will start receiving reminders for your calendar events and dated tasks automatically.  If you wish to add a new reminder or customize the existing reminders, please read on…
  17. Manage your reminders The Kai platform offers a robust system

    of speaking reminders for your tasks and events. Unlike other virtual assistants, you have the ability to control the aspects of all reminders for a given calendar or your task list. To access the reminder system, open the settings menu by clicking your name in the navigation bar, then click ‘Settings’. Next, on the setting page click ‘Reminders’ Click to open menu Select Settings Select Reminders
  18. Add a reminder – Select group To add a new

    reminder, first select the reminder group listed on the reminders main screen. A reminder group contains the reminders that will be spoken for the calendar or task list.  Please note that in the case of Google Calendar accounts, you can only add or configure reminders for active calendars. The number of available active calendars is determined by your membership plan Reminder group
  19. Add or edit a reminder To add a new reminder,

    select ‘Create a reminder’. To edit or delete an existing reminder, select the reminder from the list provided. Click to edit or delete existing reminder Create a new reminder

    reminder. You can preview how your reminder will sound when spoken by pressing the ‘Preview’ button.  Reminder Time = Time to speak reminder relative to event start/end or task due date/time  Phrase = Phrase to be spoken for reminder Preview reminder
